Very good breakfast! Very convenient location! Very friendly and helpful personnel! Recommended!. In both 2023 and 2024, I have stayed several nights in Grand Sera Hotel in Ankara. Overall, my experiences here have been very positive.
1) The breakfast is an extremely strong point. There is a rich choice of food and the products are fresh and tasty. When something runs out, it is being supplemented or replaced quickly. It is nice that breakfast starts early and you can easily get through a very large part of the day on this delicious and filling breakfast only. Furthermore, from the windows of the breakfast room, you can see the Anitkabir (Mausoleum of Atatürk).
2) The location is very good. Practically all the main places of interest and landmarks in Ankara can be comfortably reached by foot. Besides, the hotel is based very conveniently. E.g., the train station (incl. YHT) and the stop for the airport bus (AnkaraAir) are within walking distance. The neighbourhood of the hotel is safe and this holds for the evening hours too.
3) The personnel is very friendly and helpful. People here do speak English. Also online, communication has run very well. Answers were being provided very fast and possible unnecessary misunderstandings were already being avoided beforehand.
4) The rooms in which I have stayed were nice and clean. I never experienced anything regarding possible remains of smoke smell here. Beds are very good and during the night, it is quiet outside. In the bathroom, hot water is always available and water pressure in the spacious shower is strong. It is also very practical that a fridge is present in the room and that free tea, coffee and water (in bottles) are being provided.
5) A huge compliment for Grand Sera Hotel and its personnel is that an early check-in could be arranged for me for free each time that I stayed here. Especially after a night flight, this is extremely pretty.
I am very satisfied with my stays in Grand Sera Hotel in Ankara. Therefore, I can definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers.

Reasonably priced hotel at a good location with friendly staff. Good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, good location. Some smell of smoke or cigarette but it is common in Turkey.

Good location, helpful staff, a good value, would stay there again.. Breakfast bufet has plenty of food and drink items, but coffee wasn’t one of them. This is a great location in Ulus area. Walking distance from the castle, several museums and Gençlik Park. Staff is friendly and speak a little English. Walk-in shower was uncomplicated and great.. Lack of coffee at breakfast.
Could have used an extra blanket..

Grand Sera Hotel exceeded my expectations. The breakfasr excellent!
The room was spacious, clean and you could make your own tea or coffee and of course with its own refrigerator. The team, especially Tayfun and Güven, were as friendly as can be. They perfectly managed my departure to the airport at four in the morning, but above all they were helpful and effective in getting me a professional contact that I was very interested in. Thank you very much Tayfun and Güven.. Nothing at all, except perhaps that when you walk down the street all day to get to the hotel it seems like climbing a mountain, something, by the way, quite normal in Ankara..
