Very good. The hotel itself is fabulous. It’s very modern and the amenities were very comfortable. The Italian restaurant they have is very good ( I’m Italian so I would know). The beach is very comfortable.. The a la carte restaurant that they have is really not up to the standards of a five star hotel. We were very disappointed by the food there and also the fact that the staff forgot our orders multiple times. Regarding the room, we had to call reception every single day in order to ask them to make our room, as it was never done when we came back from our day at 6 pm. This to us is not acceptable from a 5 star hotel..

A mixed feeling stay.. This property has a lot going for it. It’s modern and has an excellent location, close to the center of Alacati. The staff is friendly and the room I had was spacious with a beautiful view of the sea. The Bed and pillows are very comfortable and the bathroom is also spacious. Breakfast at Zafron was wonderful. They offer an extensive array of items at the buffet. Servers were enough so that one was almost immediately served. The hotel has a small beach but the beach they have has white sand and and the sea is very inviting. The sand extends to a distance into the sea. The sea is shallow for quite a bit so in my opinion safe for children. My wife and I enjoyed the stay and even extended a couple of days because of the sea, weather and our visits to Aleçati city center. I would recommend this property to friends and family and may also stay again if a few vital things were changed.. The hotel needs a little bit more effort to make it a top hotel. For example the room’s technology where lighting is concerned is a bit aggravating. The bathroom lights come on after being switched off. Usually I like to turn light off and on with out consulting an operations manual. The room has no dresser, one has to use the bathroom vanity for that. The vanity has just one sink. Usually in luxury hotels there are two. And the bathroom has no magnifying mirror in it. It’s such a small things to add to bump up the service level. I prefer being asked if I minded the bed sheets not being changed daily. They were changed on the day we were supposed to have checked out but extended out stay. For the room price I expected the sheets to be changed daily. The hotel needs a better cleaning service. Windows opposite the elevators are dusty and seem to not have been cleaned for a long time. Corridor carpets are badly stained. At breakfast, place mats were not clean, one could see dried food bits and stuff on a supposedly a table ready for the next guess.
The on my first visit was nice but on another visit the following morning, I found straws and trash from the day before and sand on the sun beds. It does not seem that the beach gets cleaned or combed. We pointed this out to staff and they only went after the sea kelp thrown by the waves on the beach. It is such a turn off when something that is so easy to clean isn’t, makes you think what else is not properly clean. We understand that the property, thought only four years old, will be shut down for extensive renovation under new management. Hopefully this will give the property what it needs to shine..

We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was fabulous and the staff were very helpful. I liked the location in a quiet place and beachfront, the breakfast was nice, the staff was very helpful they accepted our request to change the heating mode to AC mode since in November they change the system from AC to heating mode. They didn’t tell us that the roads were closed because of cycling race and they knew we will arrive at a time that the roads will be closed and there were no other alternative road to reach the hotel so we had to stop near the hotel and walk with our luggage.
