Pleasant Stay at the CVK B. It was a very enjoyable stay at the CVK Bosphorous. Staff was extremely courteous, rooms were comfortable, breakfast spread was good but should have more changes day to day. Marium in the concierge desk was very helpful with her suggestions and directions and spoke good english which was comforting. All in all an enjoyable stay.. .

Beware! $3,500 stolen at CVK Bosphorus Hotel, no help from staff or police. Dismissive, unaccountable avoid this hotel. I am reaching out to you as a concerned and distressed visitor who has experienced an utterly unacceptable series of events during my recent trip to Istanbul. I write this email not only with frustration but also with an earnest plea for justice and immediate action regarding the shocking ordeal I faced at CVK Bosphorus Hotel. On the 30th of October , my friend and I arrived in Istanbul from Mumbai on Indigo Airlines, landing at approximately 1:30 PM. We checked into CVK Bosphorus Hotel at around 3 PM and, after securing our luggage in the room, left for a light lunch. Upon returning to our room at around 5:40 PM, we were horrified to discover that a substantial amount of money had been stolen from our belongings. Specifically, $3,000 USD was missing from an envelope in my friend’s backpack, which was instead replaced with around 180,000 Syrian liras (equivalent to approximately $15). Furthermore, $500 USD had been taken from my friend’s wallet. We immediately reported this to the hotel management, hoping for assistance and assurance. Instead, we were met with apathy and dismissiveness. Despite a two-hour discussion with hotel staff, they simply claimed to have “checked everything” and advised us to go to the police if we wanted further action. There was no empathy, no sense of responsibility, and certainly no resolution. Our frustration intensified as we pursued the case with local authorities. We contacted the tourism police, spoke to Mr. Akram, and were promised a callback, which never came. After following up in person, we were escorted to the police station, only to face hours of further delays and disorganization. When we returned to the tourism police station later that evening as instructed, we had to re-explain our situation from scratch as no information had been relayed to the officers on duty. After being told to wait at the Taksim police station, we were subjected to outright disrespect—treated, quite literally, “like dogs” and even mocked by the very authorities meant to protect us. This entire experience has left us feeling utterly degraded, disrespected, and disillusioned. What should have been a memorable and enjoyable visit to Istanbul has turned into an emotionally draining and humiliating nightmare. We trusted CVK Bosphorus Hotel with our belongings and relied on local authorities for assistance. Both failed us in ways that are inexcusable and unjust. We seek your immediate intervention in this matter, as we believe it is your duty to protect the rights and dignity of Indian citizens abroad. Serious legal action should be taken against CVK Bosphorus Hotel, and a thorough investigation should be initiated to prevent future travelers from suffering the same distress. This experience has left me deeply disturbed, and I am certain that I would never wish to return to Istanbul under such conditions. I urge you to take this matter seriously and initiate appropriate legal and diplomatic measures to ensure that such an injustice is rectified.. .
